Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aspiraa (“Aspiraa”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use aspiraa.in and the Aspiraa application (the “Service”).
We are an exam-preparation platform used mainly by school students in India. We take that seriously: we collect what we need to build your study plan and nothing more, we never sell your data, and we never use your notes, uploads or chats to advertise to you.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Aspiraa.in, having its registered office at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.
Questions about this policy or your data: officialaspiraa.in@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash, never in readable form). If you sign in with Google we receive your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture.
- Study profile — the answers you give during onboarding: your class, stream, target exams, subjects you want help with, daily study-hour target, wake and sleep times, school and coaching timings, and the study challenges you tell us about.
- Content you create — timetable tasks, notes, flashcards, quiz answers, syllabus progress, focus-session records, support tickets and feedback.
- Files you upload — PDFs you add to your Rack, and the handwriting or highlighter marks you draw on them.
2.2 Information we generate or collect automatically
- Usage data — the features you open, quiz scores, streaks, completion rates and similar analytics used to show your progress.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and server logs, kept for security, abuse prevention and debugging.
2.3 Payment data
Paid plans are processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay’s systems and are never collected, seen or stored by Aspiraa. We retain only the payment reference IDs, amount, plan and status needed to activate your subscription and issue receipts. Razorpay’s handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
3. Why we use your data
| Purpose | Data used |
|---|---|
| Create and secure your account | Account details, technical data |
| Build your timetable and syllabus plan | Study profile, content you create |
| Answer your questions through Aria, our AI mentor | Study profile, syllabus progress, your messages |
| Generate quizzes, summaries and flashcards | Your notes, chosen subjects and chapters |
| Show your analytics and progress | Usage data |
| Take payment and manage your subscription | Account details, payment references |
| Respond to support tickets | Ticket contents, account details |
| Keep the Service safe and prevent abuse | Technical data, usage data |
We process this data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account and complete onboarding, and to perform the contract between us. You may withdraw consent at any time (see section 8), though doing so may mean we can no longer provide the Service.
4. Artificial intelligence
Aria and our quiz, timetable, summary and flashcard generators are built on large language models provided by Anthropic. To answer you, the relevant part of your content — for example your message to Aria, your study profile, or the note you asked us to summarise — is sent to that provider for processing.
- We do not permit your content to be used to train third-party AI models.
- We do not sell or share your content with advertisers.
- AI output can be wrong. Treat Aria’s answers as study support, not as verified fact, and check anything important against your textbook or teacher.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run parts of the platform for us — cloud hosting and database (DigitalOcean, servers located in India), AI processing (Anthropic), payments (Razorpay) and sign-in (Google). They may process data only on our instructions.
- Our team — authorised administrators, who may access your account data to provide support or investigate abuse.
- Authorities — where we are required to disclose by law, court order or a valid government request.
Some providers may process data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on the transfer safeguards permitted under applicable Indian law.
6. Students under 18
We do not knowingly use a child’s data for advertising or behavioural tracking, and we do not run targeted advertising anywhere on the Service. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review, correct or delete their child’s data using the contact details in section 11.
7. How long we keep data
- While your account is active — we keep your data so your timetable, notes and progress remain available to you.
- If your account is deleted — an administrator may first mark it as deleted, which locks you out immediately while the data is retained so the account can be restored if the deletion was a mistake. You may ask us to erase it permanently.
- Payment and tax records — retained for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, even after account deletion.
- Server logs — typically retained for a short period for security and debugging.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct or update inaccurate data — most of it is editable in Settings;
- ask us to erase your data and close your account;
- withdraw the consent you gave us; and
- nominate another person to exercise these rights if you are unable to.
To exercise any of these, email officialaspiraa.in@gmail.com from the address registered on your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.
9. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls limiting administrator access, and a database that is not reachable from the public internet. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but if a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
10. Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your language, and remember your light or dark theme. Clearing this storage will sign you out.
On our public pages only — the home page, sign-up, log-in and the blog — we use Meta's pixel to measure which of our ads and articles bring people to Aspiraa and how many go on to create an account. It loads only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner; if you decline or don't answer, it never loads. It sends Meta the page you visited and, if you sign up, that an account was created — never your name, email or anything you type. It never runs inside the app once you are signed in. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask again.
11. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act, our Grievance Officer can be reached at:
- Name: Mohit Sharma
- Email: officialaspiraa.in@gmail.com
- Address: Mumbai, Maharashtra
We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
