Recognizing this pattern is one of the highest leverage things you can do with your PYQ practice.
Why Repetition Happens in the First Place
NEET draws from a fixed NCERT syllabus, and certain concepts are simply high value from a testing perspective. They're conceptually rich, have clear right and wrong answers, and lend themselves to multiple question variations. This naturally means some topics get revisited constantly across years, even though the exact wording changes.
Biology
Genetics and Evolution consistently produces repeated question types around Mendelian ratios, pedigree analysis, and molecular basis of inheritance. The underlying concepts are reused with different numbers or scenarios far more than most other chapters.

Don't just solve the exact PYQ and move on. Once you notice a repeating pattern, generate or find 3 to 4 variations of that same underlying question type, since the exam will very likely test the same concept in a slightly different form, not the exact same numbers.
Group PYQs by concept, not by year. Pulling every PYQ related to Mendelian genetics across the last 8 to 10 years, solved together, reveals the pattern far more clearly than solving one full year's paper at a time.
